João Monteiro and Tiago Apolónia stayed this Saturday in third place in male peers in the Table Tennis European Championship, in Warsaw.
The duo, already cleared for the Olympic Games, lost in the semi-finals by 0-3 with the Polish Jakub Dyjas and the Belgian Cédric Nuytinck, 11-8, 11-6 and 11-5, ending at the podium of the test.
In the semi-finals of the individual test, it is Marcos Freitas, after beating the Romanian Ovidiu IONESCU, 60, by 4-1 (5-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-9 and 11-6). Access to the final will be a player against the German Dimitrij Ovtcharov, ninth in the world ranking.
In the feminine pairs, Fu Yu and Shao Jieni failed the semi-finals, by losing by 0-3 (11-5, 11-7 and 11-9) with the Ukrainians Ganna Gaponova and Tetyana Bilenko.
