João Ribeiro wins silver medal in K1 500 meters
João Ribeiro won, this Sunday, the silver medal in K1 500 meters in the Canoeing World Championships, which are being disputed in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Portuguese, who held the status of runner-up in Europe, finished the race in 1.39.88 minutes, only being beaten by Belarusian Mikita Borykau.
It is the third medal for Portugal in these World Cups, after Fernando Pimenta’s gold medal in K1 1,000 meters and Norberto Mourão’s bronze in adapted canoeing (VL2).
