The Vidreiro – Centro Portugal Rally will host the fourth and penultimate race of the Clio Trophy Portugal, with the title race entering its decisive phase.
With two wins out of a possible three, João Rodrigues heads into the race, held in the municipalities of Alcobaça, Marinha Grande, and Pombal, determined to strengthen his lead in the trophy, but Luís Caetano and Tiago Pereira have the added motivation of racing at home.
Winner of the first two races on the calendar, João Rodrigues was forced to retire from the Transibérico Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Water Rally. Despite the setback, his lead in the competition, promoted by Renault Portugal, remained intact. Now, the Mafra driver is determined to secure his third victory of the season.
“I’m going to make a financial effort to be at the starting line of the race. I couldn’t help but do so, considering we remain in an excellent position to win the trophy. It will be my first time participating in the rally, but my goal is the same: to win!” emphasised João Rodrigues, who will once again be navigated by Bruno Carvalho.
The battle promises to be intense, especially with the added motivation of Luís Caetano and Tiago Pereira, drivers from the region, who will do everything they can to counter João Rodrigues’s favouritism. Tiago Pereira, in particular, is in high spirits after his debut, atop the podium, in the rally held in the Trás-os-Montes and Galicia region.
On the other hand, Carlos Marreiros from the Algarve is looking to cement his progress on asphalt, having achieved his first podium finish at the Clio Trophy Portugal in the previous event. Sisters Filipa and Mariana Tintim, also from the Algarve, are back in competition after a road trip in the rally that ran through the roads of Viseu.

Organised by the Marinha Grande Automobile Club, the Glass Rally – Central Portugal features two stages and four sections, totalling 102.8 km, all on asphalt.
The race begins on Friday with a starting ceremony at the Alcobaça Monastery, followed by three special stages, including the spectacular Pombal Super Special.
On Saturday, competitors will face six more stages, with the rally concluding in a unique super special within the service park at the Pombal Expocentro.
The podium and winners’ ceremony are scheduled for late Saturday afternoon at the Expocentro Arena.
