The Portuguese tennis player João Sousa went down three places in the world ‘ranking’, released today, to 84th position, in a list without changes in the ‘top 10’, which continues to be led by the Serbian Novak Djokovic.
A week ago, João Sousa withdrew from the Antwerp tournament, in the last round of access to the main frame, due to tendonitis in his right forearm.
In the world ranking released today, Pedro Sousa maintained 110th place, while João Domingues fell four positions, to 174th.
Djokovic remains at the top of the standings, followed by second-placed Spaniard Rafael Nadal on a podium closed by Austrian Dominic Thiem.
In the hierarchy of the women’s circuit there was also no change in the ‘top 10’, with the Australian Ashleigh Barty in charge, followed by the Romanian Simona Halep and the Japanese Naomi Osaka, second and third, respectively.
