Joe Biden on the new season of “Jay Leno’s Garage”

Tuesday, February 7th at 10:45 pm

Despite the President of the United States being banned from driving for safety reasons, Biden makes an exception to confront Michael Powell, son of the late Colin Powell.

On Tuesday, February 7, at 10:45 pm, the television channel AMC BREAK, produced by AMC Networks International Southern Europe, will exclusively premiere the episode of ‘Jay Leno’s Garage’ starring US President Joe Biden. In the last program of the seventh season, Biden will make an exception to drive his own car, an activity prohibited for security reasons to the high American leaders after the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Biden will be behind the wheel of his Corvette C2 Sting Ray, a 1967 convertible that was very special to the president as it was a gift for his parent’s wedding. At age 80, the president will reach 190 km/h in an endurance test against Michael Powell, Colin Powell’s son, who will try to beat the ruler aboard a 2015 Corvette Sting Ray. “Jay Leno’s Garage” will be the ring of a tribute to the former US Secretary of State, who competed (and lost) against Biden himself in a similar competition in the second season of the program.

The competition will take place at the James J. Rowley Training Center, a US Secret Service facility in Beltsville (Maryland). Earlier, Jay Leno and Joe Biden will be together aboard a Ford F-150® Lightning™ truck to discuss the future of electric cars.

The seventh season of the hit series “Jay Leno’s Garage” features eight sixty-minute episodes, some of the most extraordinary cars, the most incredible drives, and the fascinating stories of the celebrities who will take the place of the “hanger” in the new season to speak about their own experiences.
