Joe Jackson will perform live in Portugal with concerts at the Coliseu Porto Ageas and Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, on the 29th and 30th of April 2022.
The veteran musician, who was a key player in the new wave, debuted in Portugal in 1980 with concerts in Porto and Cascais and only returned to our country twice this millennium, in 2001 and 2003, so this will be the his long-awaited return, nearly two decades after the last performance.
The British musician is presenting a new tour in which he meets the musicians who accompanied him on a triumphant tour in 2019, the “Four Decade Tour”, and with whom he also recorded his most recent work, the album Fool. Graham Maby (bass and vocals), Teddy Kumpel (guitar and vocals) and Doug Yowell (drums, vocals and electronics).
In this new concert, Joe will also take the opportunity to make a small and more intimate set of songs in absolute solo. Reviewing the biggest hits of his celebrated career, but also including in the line-up several gems that haven’t been presented on stage for a long time, Joe Jackson also promises some surprises with new material.
