“Jonathan Dassin sings Joe Dassin” is scheduled for November 6, at 9:30 PM, in the Black and Silver Room of Casino Estoril. In this unique concert, the voice of Jonathan Dassin, the son, will bring the great hits of the famous Franco-American pop and chanson singer.
On a night of tribute to Joe Dassin, his son Jonathan Dassin invites the audience for over an hour to recall the romantic and nostalgic songs that mark the family’s history.
World-renowned, Joe Dassin is part of the heritage of French song, having stood out for colouring it with a touch of American folklore. Several decades after his death, his songs – with which he sold over 50 million records – are still widely played on radios around the world, and now, they are brought back to the stage by his son Jonathan Dassin.
The new tribute follows the release of the album A Toi in 2020, where alongside other renowned artists in French music, Jonathan highlights his father’s musical journey, who passed away 40 years ago, performing the songs “Salut”, “Et Si Tu N’existais Pas”, “Champs-Élysées”, “Marie-Jeanne”, “L’été Indien”, “Siffler sur la colline”, among others, which are part of the lineup for this special night in the Black and Silver Room.
As a writer, composer, and performer, Jonathan Dassin reflects French songs from their origins to modern adaptations, making this gathering a true journey through the past, present, and future.
The Black and Silver Room of Casino Estoril will host the show “Jonathan Dassin Sings Joe Dassin” on November 6 at 9:30 PM. Suitable for ages 6 and up. Prices: From €25 to €65.
