Jordy Smith and Ítalo Ferreira will fight for first place in the World Surfing League ranking in the Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal final.
South African Jordy Smith with 15.83 points won the first round of the ‘socks’, against the Japanese Kanoa Igarashi with 12.66 points, while the Brazilian Ítalo Ferreira with 15.43) beat the Brazilian Caio Ibelli with 14.86 points , and now will defend the title in Supertubos.
Like both in the final, the only certainty is that there will be changes in the WSL leadership, and the winner secures first place at the start of the last leg of the year in Hawaii.
