Jorge Drexler returns to Portugal with “Voz y Guitarra”

Jorge Drexler returns to Portugal in November, to present the show “Voz y Guitarra” in Porto and Lisbon. The Uruguayan artist performs at Casa da Música, in Porto, on November 3rd and at Teatro Tivoli BBVA, in Lisbon, on the 6th of the same month. Tickets for both dates are now on sale.

Drexler will perform in voice and guitar format, fundamental elements of his work and the essential instruments to captivate and enchant the public. By returning to this format, the artist rediscovers his songs intimately and uniquely, going not only through his latest and multi-award-winning album, Tinta y Tiempo (2022) but also through songs from all the albums of his career with more than 30 years.

After two years and more than 90 shows with Tiempo y Tinta, Drexler began the Voz Y Guitarra European tour last May, marked by a single show in Spain (Madrid) and several already sold-out shows. The tour runs until December and passes through Ireland, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Norway, France, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands and, of course, Portugal.

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1964, a doctor by training, he moved to Spain in 1995 to dedicate himself exclusively to music and composition.

With a long career as a musician and singer-songwriter, with fourteen studio albums, an Oscar, thirteen Latin Grammys and countless tours that gave him contact with different cultures and territories. He signs numerous partnerships with other artists including Caetano Veloso, Marisa Monte, Mercedes Sosa, Mon Laferte, C. Tangana, António Zambujo, Omara Portundo, Gal Costa, Natalia Lafourcade, Elvis Costello or Salvador Sobral. The passion for prose, verse and language, together with the unique ability to express deep feelings, materializes his willingness to build bridges between different cultures and societies in the modern world.

Live, Jorge Drexler has an enormous and recognized ability to transcend himself. His shows are known for their connection to the cinematic universe and for their extraordinary empathy with the public.
