Jorge Drexler lost his father in the early hours of November 3rd. This was the reason for the postponement of the show in Porto, which was sold out.
However, mourning cannot overshadow the celebration of life forever.
For this reason, the show at the Teatro Tivoli BBVA will take place this Wednesday, November 6th.
The new date for the performance of the artist’s “Voice and Guitar” show is November 21st, at 9:00 PM, in the Suggia Room of the Casa da Música, and tickets are already on sale.
Tickets purchased for the initial date (November 3rd) remain valid for the new date, and there is no need to exchange them. It is also possible to request a refund at the place of purchase until November 15, 2024.

Jorge Drexler will perform in a voice and guitar format, fundamental elements of his work and the essential instruments to captivate and delight the audience. By returning to this format, the artist reconnects with his songs intimately and uniquely, covering not only the last award-winning album, Tinta y Tiempo (2022) but also themes from all the albums of his more than 30-year career.
After two years and more than 90 concerts with Tiempo y Tinta, Drexler began the European tour Voice and Guitar last May, marked by a unique performance in Spain (Madrid) and several sold-out shows. The tour, which runs until December, will pass through Ireland, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Norway, France, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, and, of course, Portugal.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1964, a trained doctor, he moved to Spain in 1995 to dedicate himself exclusively to music and songwriting. With a long career as a musician and singer-songwriter, having released fourteen studio albums, won an Oscar, thirteen Latin Grammys, and numerous tours that provided him contact with diverse cultures and territories. He has numerous collaborations with other artists including Caetano Veloso, Marisa Monte, Mercedes Sosa, Mon Laferte, C. Tangana, António Zambujo, Omara Portundo, Gal Costa, Natalia Lafourcade, Elvis Costello, and Salvador Sobral. His passion for prose, verse, and language, along with a unique ability to express profound feelings, materialize his desire to build bridges between different cultures and societies in the modern world.
Live, Jorge Drexler has a huge and recognized ability to transcend himself. His shows are known for their connection to the cinematic universe and extraordinary empathy with the audience.
