Jorge Fonseca rose to the leadership of the world ranking of judo in the -100 kg category, dethroning the Georgian Varlam Liparteliani.
After revalidating the title of world champion, in June, and winning the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Jorge Fonseca started to score 5,012 points, 50 more than Liparteliani.
Catarina Costa (-48 kg), Telma Monteiro (-57 kg) and Rochelle Nunes (+78 kg) occupy the seventh place in the ranking of the respective categories.
