Last June Jorge Goes presented his fourth album “Essências” in Elvas at the Cine-Teatro Municipal.
Accompanied by its musicians Nuno Cirilo on Portuguese guitar, Miguel Monteiro on Fado viola, Filipe Larsen on acoustic bass, Pepin Muñoz on drums and Amadeu Magalhães on cavaquinho/accordion and string sample, the concert lasted for more than two hours.
José Cid, Mário Mata, José Fernandes Castro and a group of friends from Cante Alentejano do Redondo took to the stage as guests of honor, who together with the audience sang some of the singer’s themes.
“I wasn’t expecting it, I confess” by Tozé Brito, is the video that we present here. This was the first single taken from the album “Essências” composed of fourteen songs that were presented in full in the place where he was born and lives. This concert in Elvas had a very special meaning and was enjoyed by all those who shared a celebratory night with Jorge Goes, with lots of music and joy where there was no lack of friendship and affection in a great night of celebration.
