Jorge Palma reissues “The Nine Billion Names of God” released 50 years ago

Edited 50 years ago, “The Nine Billion Names of God”, the first single by Jorge Palma, in his own name, is again available on vinyl, in a limited edition, and in digital format. Composed of two songs, “The Nine Billion Names of God” and “Come, Morpheus”, the vinyl will be on sale at the ANTOLOGIA concerts.

The ANTOLOGIA began on the 25th in Benfica, with a sold-out capacity in the gardens of Palácio Baldaya, on a night where Jorge Palma revisited “Só” and on the 7th of October, at the Tivoli BBVA Theater where themes from “The Nine Billion Names of God”, “Com Uma Viagem na Palma da Mão”, “’Té Já” and “Qualquer Coisa Pá Música”.

The next four concerts will take place at the Tivoli BBVA Theater: on the 26th, the attention will be on “Acto Contínuo”, “Wings and Feathers” and “Wrong Side of the Night”; on the 1st of November, “Quarto Minguante”, “Bairro do Amor” and “Jorge Palma (Proibido Smoking)” will be heard; and on the 8th, “North”, “Night Flight” and “With All Respect”.

The six concerts of this ANTHOLOGY come to an end, on November 19, with a meeting of Palma’s Gang, with Alex, Flak and Kalú, at Cineteatro Capitólio. A much-desired reunion, in the show, appears to be the last episode of this series.

Celebrating 50 years of career, Jorge Palma took on yet another musical challenge, an anthological journey through his discography.

General passes for the ANTHOLOGY series are already sold out, but individual tickets are still available at the usual places and online.
