“Hope and Joy” is José Cid’s new single and a huge surprise: the first English theme of his long successful career always in Portuguese! José Cid always surprising and risking bet on an alternative sound with touches of Acid Rock and Jazz.
For “Hope and Joy” the lyrics belong to New Yorker Ira Liebermann, his friend’s poet and first violin at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
“Hope and Joy” is also dedicated to the international market and we are sure that when you hear the words you will understand the scope of the poem opening up to hope! What the whole world wants so much!
As always, all instruments were played and programmed by José Cid in his analog studio, with the exception of the saxophone, played by Gabriel Neves, a promising national musician of world level.
