José Luís Peixoto will direct writing workshop in Macau

The Portuguese writer José Luís Peixoto will direct a literary fiction writing workshop at the University of Macau, between Monday and Thursday, was announced today.

Throughout the four sessions of the ‘Stories We Have to Tell’ workshop, each participant will produce a literary text in order to perceive “the structure, creativity, and methods involved in the creation process,” he said in a statement The University of Macau.

Organized by the Center for Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Education and Training of the Portuguese Department of the University of Macau, the purpose of this workshop is to disseminate the Portuguese language and culture in a context of continuous training of learners and interested in the area.

Distinguished in 1997 with the Prize Young Creators and in 2003 with the literary prize José Saramago, the work of José Luís Peixoto is translated in more than 25 languages.
