José Morais is the new South Korean coach of Jeonbuk FC
José Morais is the new coach of Jeonbuk FC, after having terminated his contract with Karpaty Lviv, the South Korean club said on its official website.
“I know Jeonbuk’s reputation. It’s going to be a new challenge and I want to know the expectations of the players,” said the Portuguese coach.
The Korean club believes that “José Morais has the necessary experience to lead the team“, highlighting the fact that the coach has worked with José Mourinho, as an assistant, as a “positive aspect to convey the philosophy that the team intends”
Jose Morais will take charge of the South Korean two-time champions, who are in first place in the local league, with 85 points won in 37 games, with 21 points ahead of second-placed.
The Portuguese have trained Benfica B, Estoril, Académico Viseu and Santa Clara in Portugal, having spent abroad in clubs in Germany, Sweden, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Yemen, Turkey, Greece, England and last season in Ukraine, with South Korea the 13th country where the coach will work.
