The 2023 agenda already has an unmissable event: the return of the Festival Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley.
After the success of the first editions, expectations are high. The public is getting ready for another series of unforgettable summer nights, full of charm and sophistication, at the Jardins do Marquês in Oeiras, and the first proposals on the poster correspond to these expectations. After Maria Bethânia’s confirmation, there is another female voice that confirms the bet on the quality of the Festival: Joss Stone will perform on July 5th at the 3rd edition of Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley.

Joss Stone is now one of the most inspired singers of her generation. A voice capable of moving millions of people around the world, with her irresistible charm. Joss has been obsessed with soul music since childhood and, as a teenager, she just wanted to improve her vocal skills compared to her greatest reference and also one of the great voices of the century: Aretha Franklin.
The training brought results and Joss Stone went to the studio at just 15 years old, already full of certainties about her vocation. In 2003, “The Soul Sessions” saw the light of day, and both the public and critics no longer had any doubts: this voice was here to stay. Along its path, it already has several nominations for awards, two BRIT Awards and a Grammy Award, millions of records sold, sold-out concerts all over the place, and also collaborations with names ranging from Stevie Wonder to Sting, by Mick Jagger, among many others.
Joss is a free spirit, always looking for new challenges and this is something that is very evident when she looks back at the last steps of her career. In 2015 she edited the album “Water for Your Soul”. This record shows Joss in love with reggae (this was even considered the best reggae album on Billboard that year).
In addition to reggae, there is also a lot of world music, hip-hop, and a bit of R&B. Her latest album is consistent with her path, between risk and maturity. “Never Forget My Love“, released in February 2022, was written and produced with his friend and longtime collaborator Dave Stewart (Eurythmics). Joss sings adult songs, in tune with the best tradition of American singers and authors. With these novelties in its luggage and celebrating 20 years on the road, Joss Stone’s “20 Years of Soul Tour” passes through the Festival Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley for an unmissable reunion with the Portuguese public – takes place on the 5th of July.
