The project aims to enhance the collaborative spirit of three young composers, in the process of musical creation, providing them with work experiences in a professional context, which intersect musical creation with other artistic expressions.
This year, among the three composers is, for the first time, a non-Portuguese, the Mozambican Estêvão Chissano, from the Xiquitsi Project, who joins Inês Madeira Lopes, from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, and Carlos Lopes, from the Escola Superior of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE), Porto.
Estêvão Chissano’s participation is part of the Victor Cordon Studios strategy and results from a partnership with Instituto Camões-Centro Cultural Português de Maputo.
The work developed by the composers over three weeks, in the months of January, March and May, at the Victor Cordon Studios, in Lisbon, with different artistic approaches and crossings, will result in a show at the São Luiz Teatro Municipal, on the 10th and 11th of July.
