The seventh session “Debate your City” took place last Friday at Polo Zero. Throughout the day, young leaders, organizations and youth technicians focused on the youth programs that the city promotes, as part of the Porto Youth Strategy 4.0.
The objective is to create a laboratory of ideas to analyze the youth projects and co-create the activity plan for 2022, asking the protagonists which programs to improve, which should be created in order to activate the Youth Goals of Porto.
In a comprehensive way, it is intended to support the development of citizenship, personal and social skills, strengthen democratic participation and gather contributions for the development of new youth policies and programs.
The initiative “Debate your City”, promoted by the Municipality of Porto, started in 2014, under the theme “Rejuvenating Porto”. From then onwards, young people have been exchanging ideas on “Youth Policies”, “Civic Participation of Young People”, “Contexts and Phenomena of Social Exclusion – Social Inclusion, Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination”, “Employment of the Future” and “Education Transformer”.
