Jovens Músicos Festival starts today in Lisbon

The 10th edition of the Jovens Músicos Festival will feature the online transmission of concerts from previous editions and the performance of some live performances, with audiences and with streaming and live broadcast on Antena 2 radio.

The first of these live performances takes place today in the large auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, with Ensemble Mediterrain, directed by Bruno Borralhinho and with soprano Eduarda Melo.

On Wednesday, there will be a concert in the auditorium of Solar da Música Nova, in Loulé, with the quartet of saxophonist Tomás Marques, and on Thursday, again at Gulbenkian, the DSCH Shostakovich Ensemble, directed by pianist Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro, will perform.

On Friday, at the Igreja da Misericórdia, in Loulé, the Quarteto Tejo is presented.

On Saturday, the festival ends with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, in Lisbon, under the direction of José Eduardo Gomes, with the debut interpretation of the work “Point of Departure“, by composer Jorge Ramos, who won the SPA Composition Award/Antenna 2.

The entire program of the concerts, in particular the transmission of concerts with laureated performers in previous years of the Young Musicians Prize, is available on the official website of the radio Antena 2.
