Junior Tour on the way to the waves of São Jacinto in Aveiro
The 2nd stage of the Junior Tour will take place from the 2nd to the 3rd of July at Praia de São Jacinto, in Aveiro, continuing the fight for the most relevant titles in the sport in a phase prior to the senior career, namely for surfers up to 20 years old.
Projunior Aveiro plays a decisive role in the accounts of national junior titles, with Martim Nunes and Maria Salgado, winners of the inaugural stage that took place in Poto and Matosinhos, arriving in São Jacinto in a prominent position.
It is recalled that both young Portuguese are currently at the service of the National Team at the Junior World Cup of the International Surfing Association in El Salvador.
The Junior Tour will thus descend to Aveiro, one of the areas with the greatest surfing culture in the center of the country and which thus re-enters the map of the main national surfing events, recovering the strong tradition lived in the region in the 90s. Projunior Aveiro is a stage organized in partnership between the Municipality of Aveiro and the National Association of Surfers.
Projunior Aveiro’s action can be followed through the live scores system at ansurfistas.com.
The 2nd stage of the Junior Tour is organized by the National Association of Surfers and Fire!, in partnership with the Municipality of Aveiro, the local support of the Centro de Alto Rendimento de Surf São Jacinto, and the technical support of the Associação Desportiva e Cultural of São Jacinto and the Portuguese Surfing Federation.
