Singer and songwriter Justino Delgado will perform at LAV this Saturday, August 9th. The Guinea-Bissauan artist, dubbed the “king” of Guinea-Bissauan music, is preparing a grand show with numerous guests.
The show has already confirmed appearances by artists WJ Jamil, Binham Quimor, Bubakar Djamanka, Kilograma, Toni Dudu, Domingos Mustasse, Naide Buscapé, Alana Sinkey, Menina Neia, Clin Mota, DJ Mascarado, and DJ Rebenta, all from Guinea-Bissau.
But Justino has also invited big names from other Portuguese-speaking countries, such as Juka, from São Tomé and Príncipe, and Titica, from Angola, both already confirmed for this magical night.
Justino Delgado
By many, known as “Jujú,” Justino Delgado is 62 years old and has a 45-year career. Born in the Bijagós archipelago, he revealed his musical talent from an early age. From his adolescence onwards, he joined several bands and later pursued a solo career. He toured, released albums, received awards, and his career flourished.
He has countless hits and legendary works in Guinean music. He is nicknamed the “golden boy” and the greatest exponent of Guinean music of all time.
Concert
Tickets for the LAV concert are now on sale online, priced between R$25 and R$40. The show is scheduled to begin at 9 pm.
This is Justino Delgado’s first major concert since the pandemic, hence the title “The Return of the King.” The evening will be long and unforgettable, with DJs, new generation artists, Guinea-Bissau folklore, and other activities and cultural manifestations, expected to last until the early hours of the morning, in a night of unity and celebration of music.
