The Portuguese scored the first goal of Juventus’ Champions League victory.
Juventus have finished their UEFA Champions League group stage campaign with a further 2-0 win, this time visiting Bayer Leverkusen.
The first goal of the match was scored after 75 minutes by Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker received an excellent low cross from the left from Paulo Dybala and, with the goal at his mercy, had no problem shooting and opening the scoring – it was CR7’s second goal in this season’s Champions League.
A little earlier, at 54 ‘, Ronaldo had already introduced the ball into the German goal, but had been thrown out of play.
On top of the final whistle, at 90 + 2 ‘, Gonzalo Higuaín also tasted the foot to fix the final result – the Argentine was, like CR7, assisted by compatriot Dybala.
With the victory, Juventus added 16 points and reinforced the lead of group D – the bianconeri were already through to the last 16.
Bayer Leverkusen, on the other hand, were third with six points, so they will have to be content with their participation in the Europa League.
