[dropcap]W[/dropcap]omen in Tech @ Kaspersky Portugal: this is the name of Kaspersky’s new digital campaign, which will give voice to the various Portuguese women working in the IT sector and whose career could inspire more women to join the world of technology. This campaign, broadcast on Youtube, will consist of three episodes (one per month, from May to July), where informal conversations will be promoted with exclusive guests from large companies in Portugal, who will share their experiences, opportunities, and challenges in accessing the profession and in the evolution of your career. The talks will be conducted by YouTuber Geek’alm, whose professional career also passes through the technological universe, and shared on their YouTube channel.

Kaspersky’s latest study on the evolution and representativeness of women in the IT sector, carried out worldwide, reveals that it was women, especially those in the technological sector, who were most affected in the evolution of their career, with the context of teleworking and confinement.

In addition, and according to the investigation, more than a third of women working in the IT field consider that the small number of women in the sector made them fear entering the profession and that only 19% of those currently working in the sector were encouraged by a female model embracing the idea of pursuing a career in technology.
