After debuting with the aptly titled first single “Debut,” KATSEYE are back with “Touch,” a song that showcases the group’s softer side.
The six members’ elegant vocals are paired with ethereal tones as the singers ponder the complexities of love, hurt feelings, and rediscovering self-worth. The song was produced by Blake Slatkin, Cashmere Cat, Omer Fedi, and Taka Perry.
In the official video for “Touch”, a citywide search is underway for KATSEYE’s Yoonchae, who has reportedly gone missing. KATSEYE’s strong bond of sisterhood and vibrant performance shine through in the video, which was directed by Cody Critcheloe (Demi Lovato, Kylie Minogue, King Princess) and filmed in Los Angeles. Fans who watch closely will spot “secrets” that hint at dream charms that symbolize each member’s unique qualities.
KATSEYE will be featured in the Netflix docuseries “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE,” premiering August 21. The series was directed by Nadia Hallgren (“Becoming”) and produced by HYBE, Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures.
“Touch” is the second single from KATSEYE’s debut EP, SIS “(Soft Is Strong),” which will be released on August 16. The EP’s title reflects one of KATSEYE’s core beliefs – “Soft Is Strong” – and also references the sisterhood they have created despite coming from very different cultures. The six members of KATSEYE are DANIELA (USA); LARA (USA); MANON (Switzerland); MEGAN (USA); SOPHIA (Philippines); and YOONCHAE (South Korea).
