Kikas reached the round of 16 showing good surfing in the second stage of the world circuit

Frederico Morais finished in 9th place in the Pro Sunset Beach, 2nd stage of the world circuit that takes place on Sunset Beach, in Hawaii.

The Portuguese surfer started the second day of competition in a very positive way by beating the current ranking leader, Barron Mamiya, in round 3. Kikas even achieved an excellent score of 8.00 points in this heat, further enhancing his performance, which ended with a score of 13.83 points against the Hawaiian winner of this stage in 2022.

In the round of 16, Frederico Morais would end up being eliminated in a hard-fought heat by former world champion, Ítalo Ferreira. The Brazilian scored 13.23 points against the Cascais surfer’s 12.07.

The next stage of the Championship Tour is the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal which takes place from the 6th to the 16th of March at Supertubos beach, in Peniche.
