Kings of Leon announce new album, Can We Please Have Fun

The first single taken from the new album, “Mustang”, is now available, accompanied by a top-notch video that sets the rhythm of the album.

Can We Please Have Fun, as the title suggests, is a record of one of today’s great rock & roll bands trying new things and having fun in the process. Recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Nashville and produced with new collaborator Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence + the Machine), the album shows a new side of Kings of Leon. On the new album, the band returns to its roots while, at the same time, exploring new territories. It’s the sound of a band united in their vision and goals, free from any expectations, and the album the band says they always wanted to make.

“It was the most enjoyable album I’ve ever been a part of,” says Caleb. “It’s like we allow ourselves to be musically vulnerable,” adds Nathan. “I love it when a rock band isn’t ashamed to admit that not every song needs to be at its best.”

The group is preparing for a monumental year and is ready to conquer the world. “When you have a band, there is a bond like no other, and when you have a family, you have a bond like no other,” says Caleb. “We have these two things. I thought: if we put all our energy into something, who is going to stop us? Who can stop us, except us?”
