Kings of Leon em Portugal, no NOS Alive’25, 12 anos depois
The Kings of Leon are back in Portugal after 12 years, to perform at the 17th edition of NOS Alive. The band of brothers (and cousin) Followill goes to the NOS stage, on July 12 at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés.
Recognized as one of the world’s greatest alternative rock bands for the past 20 years, Kings of Leon have headlined the most prestigious festivals on the planet including Coachella, Glastonbury, several editions of Lollapalooza in São Paulo (twice), Berlin (twice), Chicago and Santiago, as well as the NOS Alive, just to mention a few. Last summer, they extended their all-time public record with a 5th night in the gigantic Hyde Park in London. Her last six albums debuted directly at number one on the UK album charts.
Since their debut in 2003, the Kings of Leon – Caleb (guitar/vocals), Nathan (drums), Jared (bass) and Matthew Followill (guitar) – have released nine albums: Youth & Young Manhood (2003), Aha Shake Heartbreak (2004), Because of the Times (2007), Only by the Night (2008), Come Around Sundown (2010), Mechanical Bull (2013), WALLS (2016), When You See Yourself (2021) and Can We Please Have Fun (2024). Throughout their career, they have sold more than 20 million albums and almost 40 million singles worldwide. In addition, they received eight Grammy nominations, three Grammys, three NME awards, two Brit Awards and a Juno Award.
The great return of the Kings of Leon to the Paseo Marítimo de Algés is scheduled for July 12, at the NOS Stage of NOS Alive’25.
