Grammy award-winning rock band Kings of Leon has just released “Nothing To Do”, a song from the group’s ninth studio album, Can We Please Have Fun, which will be released on May 10th.
The song dives into a post-punk sound and with a video, filmed entirely by vocalist Caleb Followill, it shows a more intimate side of Kings of Leon.
Can We Please Have Fun, as the title suggests, is the band’s desire to let loose, try new things and, yes, have fun. Recorded at Dark Horse Studio in Nashville and produced with new collaborator Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence + the Machine), the album shows a new side of Kings of Leon. On the new album, the band returns to its roots while, at the same time, finding new tools to create music. It’s the sound of a band united under the same vision and purpose, free from any expectations, and the album the band says they always wanted to make.
