Lisbon distributes 350 thousand recycling kits, and calls for greater participation by Lisbon residents in the separation of waste at home, and for its correct disposal in ecopoints.
The kit consists of three ecobags (reusable and recyclable bags produced with post-consumer 100% recycled polypropylene raffia), suitable for the separation of paper / cardboard, packaging and glass, with information on the separation of the three types of waste, and the that can be deposited in each ecopoint.
The campaign started on April 5, and happens after the reinforcement of the equipment on the public road: 280 underground eco-islands, 500 paper bins, and 782 containers were installed for the new bilateral collection system in municipal districts.
At the moment, CML is also expanding the city’s oil network, with the installation of 160 new intelligent equipment for the collection of used cooking oils.
The removal fleet and human resources in the Urban Hygiene area were also reinforced, with the entry of 263 cantonments. For the parish councils, with powers delegated by the Chamber in this area, €10,258,000.00 was transferred to reinforce urban cleaning services.
