The American duo KNOWER, formed by Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, returns to Porto on September 6th for a unique show in Room 2 of Casa da Música.
Known for breaking down genre barriers and transforming stages into laboratories of pure creative energy, they now present their album KNOWER FOREVER (2023), one of the most acclaimed contemporary jazz and electronica albums of recent years.
With an irreverent and highly inventive approach, KNOWER blends jazz, funk, and electronica into a unique sonic universe, marked by the rhythmic intensity of Louis Cole—an exceptional drummer and producer—and the magnetic expressiveness of Genevieve Artadi, who provides the band’s vocals and stage presence.
Accompanying the duo on stage will be a group of excellent musicians from the vibrant Los Angeles music scene, ensuring a performance that combines improvisation, technical rigor, and a contagious energy that defies conventions and expectations. They are Sam Wilkes (electric bass), Eldar Djangirov (keyboards), and Thom Gill (electric guitar).
After appearances at major festivals and collaborations with artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thundercat, and Snarky Puppy, KNOWER has cemented a global reputation as one of the most daring and stimulating artists in unlabeled music.
The concert at Casa da Música on September 6th marks the project’s return to Porto, promising an unmissable evening for curious music lovers and those who enjoy unusual sound experiences.
