KORN confirmed at EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL 2025

Nu-metal legends revolutionized heavy music in the 90s and, more than three decades after they took their first steps, bring their unmistakable sound to EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL
Lisbon is once again the stage for one of the biggest heavy music events in Europe, with EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL returning on 27, 28 and 29 June 2025. For the first time outdoors, the festival will take place at the iconic Restelo Stadium in Lisbon, promising a unique experience capable of uniting several generations of fans in a celebration of rock and metal. After the confirmation of the presence of JUDAS PRIEST and SLIPKNOT, the organization now reveals that the legendary KORN are the third headliners of this edition.
Formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California, KORN are often considered to be nu-metal pioneers. The group was founded by Brian “Head” Welch, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, David Silveria and Jonathan Davis, who brought to the world of heavy music a distinct voice and an introspective and visceral lyrical approach, not common in the genre. Combining elements of metal, hip-hop and alternative rock, the band stood out early by using seven-string guitars, bass and lyrics that address themes such as trauma, alienation and personal struggle.
The self-titled debut album, released in 1994, had an innovative and raw sound, but it was with Follow The Leader and «Issues» that the quintet achieved worldwide success, with multimillion-dollar sales and such iconic songs as «Freak On A Leash» and «Falling Away From Me». Famous for the energy they inject into their performances, KORN helped shape the heavy sound of the late 90s and early 2000, eventually influencing a whole generation of musicians. Despite the changes in their line-up over the years, including the departure of Arvizu and Silveria, they have always remained active and relevant, and with more than 40 million records sold, continue to explore new sounds, consolidating their legacy in the world of rock and metal.
With a poster that already brings together three of the biggest names in heavy music, EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL 2025 consolidates the event as a reference on the European circuit, extending its proposal to all generations of fans. More names will be announced in the coming days, with the organization ensuring an alignment of excellence.
