Kurt Cobain’s guitar will be auctioned

The acoustic guitar that the Nirvana vocalist used in what would become one of the band’s best-known acts, a 1959 Martin D-18E, will be featured in the “music icons” auction, which will take place in Beverly Hills and the I live on the Internet, on Julien’s website, on June 19 and 20, according to the auctioneer.

The American rock band grew very quickly, between the formation date, in 1987, and the peak of fame, reached in 1991, having passed only two years from that moment until its appearance in “MTV Unplugged”, at 18 November 1993.

Nirvana’s acoustic performance that night produced one of the best-selling live albums of all time, “MTV Unplugged in New York”.

Kurt Cobain was known for crushing guitars on stage and wreaking havoc with instruments used by the band in their live performances, but in the end, he carefully placed it back on its stand, leaving it in the center of the stage.

Since the auction will take place live on the Internet, through the auctioneer’s page, the guitar can be bid in person or ‘online’.
