Lady Gaga releases the long-awaited MAYHEM

o sétimo álbum de estúdio já disponível

Lady Gaga, winner of 14 Grammy Awards, has just released her seventh studio album, MAYHEM, available now. Marking a return to her pop roots, MAYHEM reaffirms that Gaga is a master of reinvention, creating an album as bold and eclectic as it is deeply personal.

It is a declaration of artistic freedom, a celebration of life’s contradictions, and a testament to the power of music to unite people in the face of chaos. The album is released one day before her return to “Saturday Night Live,” where she will be host and musical guest.

Recorded at Shangri-La Studios near his Malibu home, MAYHEM includes previously released singles “Disease,” “Abracadabra” and “Die With a Smile.” The 14-track project is executive produced by Lady Gaga, Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt. The album’s producers include Gaga, Andrew Watt, Cirkut and Gesaffelstein.

Abracadabra” followed “Disease,” painting a fascinating picture of life’s trials as a metaphorical feast. Driven by themes of resilience and temptation, the song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart, pushing Gaga past 124 million monthly listeners on Spotify, setting a new record for the largest audience ever reached by a female artist. The official video for “Abracadabra,” directed by Gaga along with Parris Goebel and Bethany Vargas, has racked up over 70 million views on YouTube since its release on Feb. 2. May. On March 17, she will be honored with the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award before returning to Coachella to headline on April 11 and 18.

As MAYHEM unfolds, its programming reveals a deeply immersive journey—one that reflects Gaga’s meticulous attention to detail, from the fusion of live instrumentation and electronic programming to the rich layers of her vocal performances. Each song interweaves complex narratives with striking melodies, a testament to his experimental boldness and deep respect for his craft.

“Garden of Eden” captures the charm and chaos of nightlife through a fusion of 2000s pop and electro-grunge guitars, while “Perfect Celebrity” critiques fame with a biting sense of humor and a defiant rock-influenced attitude. Underscoring Gaga’s ability to blend vulnerability with audacity, “Vanish Into You” is a theatrical, Bowie-inspired declaration of love set in an apocalyptic world. “Killah” and “Zombieboy” demonstrate Gaga’s penchant for genre-melding, fusing funk rhythms with industrial and electronic elements, while “LoveDrug” shifts gears, offering a somber disco anthem about relieving emotional pain.

The second half of the album deepens its emotional resonance. “Shadow of a Man” explores the struggle to thrive in a male-dominated world, with influences from French dance music, while “The Beast” channels the imposing yet soulful energy of Prince. The penultimate ballad, “Blade of Grass,” is a moving ode to enduring love amid chaos, setting the stage for the album’s final song—“Die With a Smile,” Gaga’s collaboration with Bruno Mars.

“Die With a Smile,” Gaga’s chart-topping collaboration with Bruno Mars, became a worldwide phenomenon. The ballad topped the Billboard Global 200 chart and Spotify’s Global Top 50, setting a record as the fastest song to reach one billion streams on Spotify. With over 3.7 billion streams to date, the song earned Lady Gaga two Grammys in 2025 in the categories of Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Gaga recently announced a massive show at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on April 26 and a historic free concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on May 3. On March 17, she will be honored with the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award before returning to Coachella to headline on April 11 and 18.
