Larger asteroid than Burj Khalifa passes through Earth

NASA has already guaranteed that the passage of the asteroid 1998 OR2 on Earth poses no danger to humanity. The approach takes place this Wednesday, the 29th, at a distance of 6.2 million kilometers and promises to be a special occasion for all fans of space observation.

The 1998 OR2 has a diameter of 2km, which makes it larger than the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which has ‘only’ a maximum height of 830m. This is an interesting curiosity about the asteroid but it is not the only one that you can learn about this celestial body.

As Space.com says, the Slooh channel on YouTube shared a video where it showed some images of the asteroid captured by telescopes, also answering some of the biggest questions about this asteroid.
