The Nigerian singer Layori will perform in the Estoril Casino Auditorium on the 1st of June at 8.30 pm. After a break, Layori returns to the stage with some of his new compositions, among which the single “UmmmHmmm” stands out. The best hits from the “Origin“ and “Rebirth” albums will also be on display.
Layori has been among the most distinguished singers in the Afro Jazz and World Music scene in recent years. Born in Nigeria, she grew up in New York, London, and Cascais, but it was in Munich where she started her musical career.
With her own space in the international World Music Jazz register, her talent was soon revealed in the debut album “Origin“, recorded in 2010, and was confirmed with the second record “Rebirth”, in 2012.
The singer gained considerable notoriety with these two albums, having started a sequence of shows on international stages such as the Würzburg and Vienna festivals, the Mito festival in Milan/Torino, and the charismatic Olympia in Paris.
Also considered relevant highlights in Layori’s musical career are his shows with bass legend and Miles Davis producer Marcus Miller at the Django Reinhardt Festival and Théâtre Mogador.
Layori performs in a concert, not to be missed, on the 1st of June, at 8.30 pm, in the Auditorium of Casino Estoril. M/6. Price: €55 to €65.
