About the EP, the band reflected: “The idea for the EP ‘Leaveyourlove’ came early. The song was a simple and fun expression of love from different angles, Pat, Jules and Noah exchanged verses. We liked this sweet collaborative feeling, it felt right with the song, so we quickly got the idea to open it up to people outside of the band too! We imagined friends and artists who we liked from all over the world to come in and write their expressions of love on the song. In different languages, in different styles. It was the first time we would collaborate with guest artists, and we felt it was good to open the project to a group of great artists from all over the world, to make the project something that seemed bigger and deeper than the song itself.
Some of the artists were already friends, some were online calls made many miles away. Some sessions were done together, recreating the song in the studio, others at a distance, sharing files and ideas. Some will never see the light of day.”
The collaboration with Maro comes when the Portuguese artist went through Berlin on tour and took the opportunity to go to the studio, for a session where she quickly enchanted everything and everyone with her charming voice.
