The award for best national documentary short went to ‘Mulher como Árvore’, from a collective of five directors, distinguished by the fascinating accomplishment that makes us enter inside the main character,
In the animation section, ‘Migrants’, a collective creation of five authors, received the international award for the ability to create empathy and touch, underlined the jury, while ‘Lascas’, a return to childhood “brilliantly realized”, guaranteed Natália Azevedo the national award. The ‘Elo’, animated by Alexandra Ramires, was given an honorable mention.
Leiria Film Fest also distinguished the prize for Best Regional Short Film, ‘Dessa água não beberei’, by Paulo Graça and Pedro Caldeira.
