Leixões wins women’s volleyball cup against Sporting

Leixões won the 9th Portuguese Cup in women’s volleyball, beating Sporting 3-1 in the final.

In a match played at the Matosinhos Congress and Sports Center, Leixões beat the Sporting team by partial 16-25, 25-21, 25-17 and 25-20, and added another trophy to the 9 that he collected in 1974 / 75, 1975/76, 1976/77, 1977/78, 1978/79, 1979/80, 1988/89, 1990/91 and now 2020/21.

The Sporting team failed to reach their third trophy to join those won in 1984/85 and 1985/86.
