Leo Middea celebrates 10 years of career in Lisbon and Porto
Leo Middea celebrates 10 years of career, seven of them spent in Portugal: on October 10th, at 9:30 PM, he will take the stage at the Casa da Música in Porto; on the 12th, it will be at the Estúdio Time Out, at 9:30 PM, in Lisbon.
Five albums after his first tour in Argentina, at just 18 years old with a guitar as his companion, Middea has built a story of success: a third place in the 2024 Song Festival and sold-out shows in multiple places around the world. At 29, he is already considered one of the most promising names in MPB (Música Popular Brasileira).
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, he recorded in Lisbon the albums Vicentina (2020), produced by Paulo Novaes and featuring the Portuguese singer Janeiro, and Beleza Isolar (2020). In these albums, he proclaims his love for Portuguese lands, giving “Lisbon, Lisbon,” “Bairro da Graça,” or “Freguesia de Arroios” catchy and sweet choruses.
Recognized as one of the great names in Brazilian music in Portugal, Middea was invited to be part of the official celebrations for the Bicentennial of Brazil’s Independence.
In 2023, the young artist gave 65 concerts in 8 different countries and 3 continents. In June of the same year, he released his 5th album Gente, which features special participation from Mallu Magalhães on “Borboleta Efeito” and from Curandeira and Béesau. Gente reached 1 million streams one month after its release.
In October of this year, Leo Middea will perform in a band format and celebrate his career with the audience in Porto and Lisbon.
