Liga MEO Surf confirms 2nd stage for 23 to 25 April

The MEO Surf League, the main surfing competition in Portugal and the one that awards the titles of national champions of the sport, has another stage confirmed for the calendar of the 2021 season.

With the start scheduled for 9 to 11 April with Allianz Ericeira Pro, at Ribeira D’Ilhas Beach, the 2nd stage, Allianz Figueira Pro, for 23 to 25 April, at Praia do Cabedelo, is confirmed, in Figueira da Foz.

The Liga MEO Surf is the 1st division of the modality, being Surf an individual sport in the open air without physical contact and considered of low risk by DGS.

Regarding the other stages, the National Surfers Association continues to work with the respective Municipalities in order to confirm more dates, taking into account the licensing and sanitary conditions, as well as the evolution of the relevant international calendar, in order to make the sports agenda of the players compatible. best national surfers in the best possible way.

In terms of side trophies, the Liga MEO Surf counts on the Allianz Triple Crown that is disputed in the three stages of Naming Allianz, the fight for the best maneuver in the Go Chill Expression Session awarded with €2,500 annually, the designation of the best local surfers (male) and women) with a prize of €1,500 in Figueira da Foz, and also the Bom Petisco Girls Score, a first prize exclusively dedicated to women, with €2,500 per year for the best combined score in the women’s competition.
