Liliana Cá wins the disc throw at the European Athletics Superliga
This Saturday, Liliana Cá won the disc throw event in the European Athletics Superliga. The competition is taking place in Chorzow, Poland.
One of the Portuguese athletes with a passport guaranteed for the Olympic Games, Liliana Cá managed 61.36 meters at the fourth throw, thus beating the German Marike Steinacker, whose best mark was 59.29 meters, and the British Kristy Law, with 58.13 meters.
Remember that this was Portugal’s first victory in the European Super League. With 10 competitions played, out of a total of 40, Portugal has 22 points and is 12.5 behind Spain, the first selection to guarantee maintenance in this category.
