Lille beat Amiens with Portuguese goals

Lille beat Amiens 2-1 at home to the French league with two goals from the Portuguese team, first Rafael Leão and then Xeka.

The match of the 21st matchday of the championship reinforces the second place in Lille, which now has 40 points, 10 fewer than Paris Saint-Germain (three fewer games) and four more than the third, Saint -Etienne (one less game).

Amiens, 17 in the competition, began to surprise in the stadium Pierre Mauroy, advancing in the marker in the five minutes, thanks to the goal of Otero.

To the despair of the locals, the Ivorian Nicolas Pepe wasted a penalty, after which Rafael Leão equalized, at 45 + 2, with 1-1 in the half-time.

In the second half, Lille struggled to get to the victory, which seemed to be ‘running away’, until, in the 85th minute, Pied’s right back centred on a brilliant head entry from Xeka, who had entered the 72 minutes.

José Fonte was the other Portuguese in the Lille game, central, while Edgar Ié did not leave the bench and Rui Fonte remains injured.
