Linda Martini take the stage of NOS Alive

NOS Alive returns to the Algés Maritime Promenade in Lisbon on July 11, 12 and 13. Portuguese band will perform on stage on the first day.

It is the latest confirmation of the festival Nos Alive: Linda Martini takes to the stage on July 11, the same day as the previously announced The Cure, Weezer, and Ornatos Violeta acts, the organization said Monday.

Linda Martini are André Henriques, Cláudia Guerreiro, Hélio Morais, and Pedro Geraldes, being the band considered a reference in Portuguese rock.

Since the release of the first EP ‘Amor Combate’ in 2006, the band has been very cherished both by the public and the press, the organization points out.

Proof of this, he adds, are the various distinctions of “disco of the year”, the presence and space of constant antenna in the main means of communication and the assiduous presence in national and international festivals.

At the end of last year, after the reissue of the fifth self-titled album ‘Linda Martini’ which includes the unpublished ‘Common European’ and ‘Ossa Minor’, the band took to the road with one of the most acclaimed national tours with sold-out dates.

This work marks a reunion of the band with the rock “crudest” of the beginnings of this quartet of Lisbon. The organization of Nos Alive also praised that today’s Linda Martini can be Rock and Fado, Fugazi and Variations, Fela Kuti and Afrobeat, Tim Maia and Funk, without ever sounding anything other than them. “From harmony to chaos, from languid balance to epic horseback riding,” he continues.

Confirmed for the festival, which returns to the Paseo Marítimo de Algés on 11, 12 and 13 July, there are names like Bob Moses (Club Set), Bon Iver, Cut Copy, Curator Bridgetown (Carla Prata, Dillaz, DJ Dadda, Nubai Soundsystem, Plutonium, Saint Jhn, Trace Nova and Lé Vie), Emicida, HER, HONNE, Hot Chip, IDLES, Izal, Jorja Smith, Pip Blom, Robyn, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Ry X, Sharon Van Etten, Tash Sultana , The Chemical Brothers, The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins, Vetusta Morla, The Gift, Thom Yorke, Vampire Weekend, Vetusta Morla, Weezer and Xavier Rudd.
