Lionsgate has announced that it will produce a fifth film by John Wick, the professional killer played by Keanu Reeves who, no matter how hard he tries, does not seem to be able to retire and lead a more peaceful life. During a recent meeting, Lionsgate revealed that the plan is to film ‘John Wick 4’ and ‘John Wick 5’ in one production and that filming is expected to begin early next year.
It should be remembered that Keanu Reeves was shooting the fourth film in the Matrix saga in Germany, but production was interrupted in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, reports are already circulating in the international press that indicate that the actors are already filming the next ‘Matrix’ again.
John Wick’s universe will continue to expand through a television series, ‘The Continental’, which will explore the origins of some characters in the franchise.
