The packed Lisbon venue welcomed Mumford & Sons in apotheosis for an epic show by the British folk-rock band.

The band carried with them their latest album, RUSHMERE, released in March. After performing in Sydney and the United States, it was Europe’s turn to see them take the stage, before returning to London, where they will conclude the tour on December 10th.

RUSHMERE marks the beginning of a new phase for Mumford & Sons, after an intense period of creativity for the trio. The album was produced by nine-time Grammy winner Dave Cobb and recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, Savannah, Georgia, and at Marcus’ studio in Devon, United Kingdom.

The Sagres Campo Pequeno was packed with fans eager to see them and feel their energy. They opened with “Run Together” and followed with “Babel”, “Rubber Band Man”, “Little Lion Man”, “Hopeless Wanderer”, “Lover of the Light”, “Believe”, “Truth”, and “Here” before moving to stage B. To the delight of the fans near the second stage, they sang “Ghosts That We Knew”, “Guiding Light” (acoustic), “Caroline” (acoustic), and “Feel the Tide”.

A concert where the “good vibes” and energy of Mumford & Sons took us on a journey from beginning to end, not only through RUSHMERE, but also through their albums Sigh No More, Babel, Wilder Mind, Delta, and Love Your Ground, captivating fans. The diverse audience makes Lisbon an increasingly attractive place to see concerts.

“White Blank Page”, “Ditmas”, “The Cave”, “Roll Away Your Stone” and “The Wolf” were the songs Mumford & Sons chose to end the concert, but of course the fans wanted more, and the band returned to close the Lisbon concert with “Timshel”, “Rushmere”, “Awake My Soul”, “I Will Wait” and “Conversation With My Son” (Gangsters & Angels).
