DeathbyRomy took to the stage at Lisboa ao Vivo to open for Enter Shikari on their return to Portugal.
DeathbyRomy (Romy Flores), an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, brought her musical style to the Lisbon show, a style that blends pop aesthetics with darker, heavier elements, described as Dark Pop or Alternative Pop, but incorporating many more influences.

Her sound mixes catchy pop melodies with heavier musical elements such as Trap, Industrial, Alternative R&B, and Rock. She describes her music as “the love child of Pop, Trap, Industrial and Cinema”.
Her lyrics address intimate and complex themes such as anxiety, depression, mental health, and the duality of life and death. Her stage name, “DeathbyRomy,” is a reference to her personal struggles and a way of “reclaiming self-love.”

Romy, of Mexican and European descent, is heavily influenced by Mexican culture, especially the way the Day of the Dead embraces life and death as a continuous cycle.
She gained widespread notoriety with her 2019 single, “Problems,” which became a viral hit on TikTok, accumulating tens of millions of streams. She has released several EPs and studio albums, including Monsters (2018), Songs For My Funeral (2021), and her most recent album, HOLLYWOOD FOREVER (2025).

Her image is as important as his music, marked by a provocative, edgy aesthetic inspired by gothic/punk, which complements the dark and cinematic tone of his songs.
