American band Almost Monday returned to Portugal for an excellent show at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo. Their energy and friendliness spilt from the stage into the audience, and fans didn’t miss a beat.
Almost Monday is a San Diego trio comprised of Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar), and Luke Fabry (bass). With “broken people,” from their debut EP, which received a remix by the duo Sofi Tukker, they exploded onto the world stage in 2020.

The band radiates the California sunshine and has been making waves on the Alternative Radio charts with their EP til the end of time, co-produced by Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, and Simon Oscroft – The Naked and Famous, DREAMERS). The EP has been well-received by critics and audiences alike.
The audience that was there, unfortunately, was not many, the band deserved a full house. But those who were there, fans familiar with the band’s music, followed them from start to finish and absorbed all the energy Dawson radiated on stage.

They opened with “Is It Too Late?”, “Can’t Slow Down,” “Cough Drops,” “Only Wanna Dance,” “Never Enough,” and “Tidal Wave“ are always very consistent on stage, reviewing both more recent and well-known songs.
They continued with “Jupiter,” “Holiday,” “Cost to Cost,” “Sweet Feelings,” “Seaside Market,” “Broken People,” “Lost,” “Sequoia,” “You Look So Good,” and “She Likes Sports.” With the fans won over and surrendered to the band, they concluded the concert with “Sunburn,” “Sun Keeps On Shining,” and finished with “Life Goes By.” An excellent concert that, at another time of year, with fewer options, would probably have been packed.
The show that was signed by House of Fun featured the Portuguese artist Jasmim.
