Lisbon: FIMFA Lx25 opens with La Frittata

FIMFA Lx – International Festival of Puppets and Animated Forms began yesterday with a lively street performance in front of the São Luiz Municipal Theatre with La Frittata, “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” that is the question.

Watch out! Two curious chicken creatures have escaped from the henhouse! A chicken and an egg are wandering around the São Luiz Theater…

Will we finally know which of the two came first?
A surprising show with no apparent answer.

Come and discover them, and they will see how lucky (or unlucky) they were to cross their path. These indiscreet characters like to explore and inspect, peck and marvel at their discoveries, emitting not very melodious laughs. They invite us to stop for a moment and appreciate their colours, vitality and peculiar sense of humour.

This paradox embodies what is most characteristic of human beings: the search for meaning. Who are we, where are we, and why are we here? Inspired by the famous chicken and egg question, the Théâtre Gudule created these two characters and brought them to life in situ.
