Norwegian singer Marie Ulven Ringheim, known to all as Girl in Red, opened the NOS Stage on the second day, with an inexhaustible energy matched only by the admiration of her fans in attendance, which even captivated non-fans in attendance.
Born on February 16, 1999, she gained significant recognition for her raw, honest, and vulnerable bedroom pop songs that explore themes of romance, mental health, and queer identity.

Girl in Red came in and won over everyone, opening with “DOING IT AGAIN BABY,” “bad idea!”, “girls,” “4am,” “dead girl in the pool,” “Body and Mind,” and “I’ll Call You Mine.” Between running around the stage, swaying her tongue and playing the guitar, she was unstoppable throughout the show.
Her music, defined as Bedroom Pop/Lo-Fi Indie and Alternative Pop/Indie Rock, often features melancholic guitars, dreamy synth textures, and intimate vocals, giving her bedroom-recorded work a distinctive lo-fi and DIY feel.

She has gained recognition as she has evolved, incorporating more refined production and a stronger indie rock feel while maintaining her authentic lyrical approach.
Many of her songs openly discuss same-sex relationships and experiences, making her a “queer icon” for the LGBTQ+ community. Phrases like “Do you listen to Girl in Red?” have become a discreet way for users on platforms like TikTok to identify other queer people.
With fans captivated by her performance, she continued with “Hemingway,” “Midnight Love,” “Too Much,” “We Fell in Love in October,” “Phantom Pain,” “You Stupid Bitch,” “Serotonin,” and ended her stint on the NOS Stage with “I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend.”
